The ultra-lowtech headphones

The Idea

The ultra-lowtech speaker worked better than I had expected. It is just a little step from a speaker to fully homemade stereo headphones.
The construction details of one transducer are essentially the same as those from the speaker, only the diaphragm is somewhat smaller and the voice coils have been wound around a 7mm drill.
The wire length has been calculated to reach 32Ohms (like normal headphones). The capacitors which you can see on the side-view picture are 10uF and in series with the coils to reduce the bass which is too dominant otherwise (because of the low resonace frequency of the diaphragms).

The results:

Of course, I'm not responsible for any ear-damage caused by this or any other device!
